Toll-free, Always Available

We want every employee to have a variety of resources to address their ethical concerns or questions at work. A toll-free phone line has been established which can be called at any time, any day of the year. This line is staffed by specialists who have been trained to deal with all types of ethical issues. This independent service is provided in the event you are not comfortable addressing concerns with your supervisor or with other avenues in the company. If you prefer, you may remain anonymous and can obtain updates about your concern or question by using the report number and PIN number assigned to your call. In certain cases involving discrimination or harassment, it may be difficult to remain anonymous. In those cases it may be necessary to contact you for further information. Your identity is protected through the process and all information will be kept in confidence to the full extent possible.

When to Call
We urge you to call any time you have a question on ethical conduct, or about an activity which you feel may not be proper or legal. Some examples include:

  • Complaints
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Discrimination or harassment
  • Environmental, health or safety issues
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Substance abuse
  • Financial issues
  • Business practices
  • Confidential information
  • Any company policy

A written report describing the concern or question will be forwarded to the Ethics and Compliance Office at Boardwalk for prompt and discreet handling. The information will be carefully reviewed and an investigation will be conducted if the circumstances dictate. Final actions taken will be based on the results of the investigation. The results will be provided to the Ethics Line, and this information relayed to you when you call for a status report.
