How the projects fit together
Unconventional gas is the engine behind Boardwalk’s growth. Boardwalk is in the process of building approximately 1,000 miles of pipe to reach new supplies of unconventional gas from the Barnett Shale, the Bossier Sands, the Haynesville Shale, the Caney/Woodford Shale and the Fayetteville Shale. In doing so, we will almost double the amount of gas carried by our system.
We have announced four projects:
These projects provide shippers with access to multiple hubs and other pipeline interconnections so that gas can be transported to diverse markets in the Northeast, Midwest, Southeast and Florida.

Gulf South and Gulf Crossing projects
The first three projects are interlinked:
Part of the Gulf South system, the East Texas to Mississippi Expansion (green) is designed to pick up gas from the Barnett Shale and Bossier Sands. At its starting point in Carthage, Texas, it will aggregate deliveries from intra-state pipelines and carry gas through Perryville, Louisiana. Perryville is an emerging hub, or interconnection point with other pipelines including Columbia Gas Transmission and Boardwalk’s Texas Gas Transmission system. The East Texas to Mississippi Expansion continues from Perryville and terminates at Harrisville, Mississippi, where the gas can continue along the Southeast Expansion.
The Gulf Crossing Pipeline (red) will be a newly-created interstate pipeline and Boardwalk’s newest operating subsidiary. It is designed to carry gas from the Barnett and Caney/Woodford Shales. Intra-state pipelines will deliver the gas to Gulf Crossing at Sherman, Texas and from there it will travel to Perryville where the gas can be dropped off to other pipelines or continue along the previously discussed East Texas to Mississippi Expansion.
Part of the Gulf South system, the Southeast Expansion (yellow) is designed to carry gas from the Perryville Hub, Gulf Crossing, and the East Texas to Mississippi Expansion. It originates at Harrisville, Mississippi and terminates at Station 85 of the Transcontinental Pipeline, a major pipeline to the Northeast.
Texas Gas projects
The Fayetteville and Greenville Laterals are extensions of Texas Gas' system. The Fayetteville Lateral will take gas from the Fayetteville Shale at Grandview, Arkansas, and carry it to Lula, Mississippi, the interconnection point with Texas Gas. The Greenville Lateral will receive gas from Texas Gas at Greenville, Mississippi and carry it to Kosciusko, Mississippi where there are interconnects at Texas Eastern Transmission and SONAT. In addition, the Greenville Lateral has interconnects with Tennessee Gas Transmission, ANR, Trunkline Gas Company, and Columbia Gulf Transmission along its route. The Greenville Lateral attracts new supply sources to Texas Gas as it increases the available market outlets for its shippers.
The Fayetteville Shale Compression Project has been filed with the FERC to support the Fayetteville and Greenville Laterals. Texas Gas is proposing to construct, own and operate two new compressor stations to increase the transmission capacity. The Bald Knob Compressor Station will be located on the Fayetteville Lateral in White County, Arkansas and the Isola Compressor Station will be located on the Greenville Lateral in Humphreys County, Mississippi. In addition, modifications will be made at Texas Gas' existing Greenville Compressor Station in order to meet these increased demands.

Western Kentucky Storage Expansion Phase III
Texas Gas has signed 10-year precedent agreements for 5.1 Bcf of storage capacity for its Phase III storage project. In February 2008, the FERC granted us the authority to develop up to 8.3 Bcf of new working gas capacity and granted market-based rate authority for this new capacity. The cost of this project will be dependent on the ultimate size of the expansion. We expect 5.4 Bcf of storage capacity to be in service during the fourth quarter 2008.
